Step-by-step

Power off the phone
1 minPress and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on the screen to shut down the device completely.

Remove the SIM card tray

Heat the rear glass edges
3 minApply a heat gun or heating pad around the rear glass perimeter for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Disconnect fingerprint sensor cable
2 minSlightly tilt open the back cover and use a plastic spudger to unclip the fingerprint cable connector.

Remove the rear glass cover
1 minLift the rear glass panel away from the frame completely and set it aside.

3 minRemove the six Phillips #00 screws holding the top antenna and wireless charging pad assembly.

Remove wireless charging coil
2 minPry up the upper wireless charging assembly with a spudger and lift it out of the phone.

Unscrew the loudspeaker module
3 minRemove five Phillips #00 screws holding the bottom loudspeaker housing to the phone frame.

Pry out the damaged speaker
2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger beneath the loudspeaker housing and pry upward to remove it.

Insert the new loudspeaker assembly
2 minPlace the replacement loudspeaker module into the lower frame cutout and press firmly into place.

Secure the loudspeaker screws
3 minReinstall and tighten the five Phillips #00 screws on the loudspeaker module.

Reinstall wireless charging cover
3 minPosition the upper antenna pad onto the midframe and tighten its six Phillips #00 screws.

Reconnect fingerprint sensor
2 minHold the rear glass close to the chassis and snap the fingerprint sensor flex cable onto its socket.

Reseal the rear glass
3 minApply new adhesive around the phone border, align the rear glass cover, and press firmly to seal.
