Power off the device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

Heat the rear panel
3 minApply a heat gun or iOpener around the outer edges of the back cover for 2-3 minutes to soften the adhesive seal.

Attach a suction cup
2 minPlace a suction cup onto the lower portion of the back cover and pull upward firmly to create a small gap.

Insert an opening pick
2 minPush an opening pick into the gap between the plastic rear cover and the outer bezel.

Slice through perimeter adhesive
5 minSlide the pick around all four edges of the phone to cut through the tough factory adhesive.

Remove the back cover
2 minLift the rear cover straight up off the chassis and set it aside.

Unscrew the plastic midframe
4 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 11 screws securing the upper midframe and lower speaker housing.

Remove upper wireless charging pad

Remove lower loudspeaker module
2 minPry up the plastic loudspeaker module at the bottom of the device and lift it clear.
