Step-by-step

Power Off Device
1 minPress and hold the Power button, then select Shut Down to turn off the phone completely before beginning disassembly.

Remove SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole at the top edge of the device to pop out the SIM and MicroSD card tray.

Warm Back Glass
3 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the outer edges of the rear glass cover for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear glass and gently pull upward to create a small gap near the bottom edge.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minSlide a thin plastic prying tool or opening pick into the gap created between the rear glass cover and the phone frame.

Slice Rear Adhesive
4 minCarefully slide the plastic pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the surrounding adhesive tape.

Detach Back Cover
2 minLift the rear glass panel away from the chassis once all adhesive has been severed.

Remove Midframe Screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all 12 screws holding down the upper antenna, lower speaker assembly, and wireless charging pad.

Remove Antenna and Wireless Coil
2 minUse a plastic spudger to pry up and remove the top antenna element along with the attached wireless charging pad module.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minPry the battery connector straight up off the motherboard using a plastic spudger to prevent electrical shorts during repair.

Remove Loudspeaker Module
2 minPry up the lower speaker assembly located at the bottom of the device chassis and remove it from the phone.

Install New Loudspeaker
2 minPosition the replacement speaker assembly into the bottom of the frame and press down until it sits flush.

Reconnect Battery
1 minAlign the battery flex cable over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

Replace Antenna Assembly
2 minPosition the upper antenna and wireless charging coil assembly back onto the motherboard housing and press down flat.

Fasten Midframe Screws
3 minReinstall and tighten the 12 Phillips #00 screws to secure the internal assemblies back into the phone body.

Apply Replacement Adhesive
3 minClean remaining original adhesive residue with isopropyl alcohol, then lay new pre-cut adhesive tape along the frame border.

Press Back Glass
2 minAlign the rear glass cover over the chassis and apply firm, even pressure around the perimeter to seal the phone closed.
