   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Apply heat to the edges of the back cover using a heat gun for 2 minutes. This softens the strong adhesive holding the rear glass panel.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear glass near the charging port. Press down firmly to create a secure seal.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap between the glass and frame. Insert an opening pick into the gap.

   Slice Rear Cover Adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive. Reapply heat if the pick meets heavy resistance.

   Remove Rear Glass Panel

   Lift the rear glass panel away from the phone body. Set the back panel aside in a safe location.

   Unscrew Midframe Screws

   Remove the twelve Phillips #00 screws securing the midframe and internal covers to the chassis. Organize screws for reassembly.

   Remove Top Antenna Housing

    Disconnect Front Camera

    Pry up the front-facing camera connector from the motherboard. Lift the camera module out of its recessed slot.

    Gently lift the motherboard from the bottom edge and remove it from the phone frame. Store it on an anti-static surface.

    Heat Front Screen Assembly

    Apply heat evenly across the front display glass for 3 minutes to soften the display adhesive.

    Slice Screen Adhesive

    Insert an opening pick between the display glass and the outer frame. Carefully slice along all four edges of the screen.

    Separate Broken Screen

    Lift the display assembly off the frame while threading the display flex cable out through the frame slot. Take care with loose glass fragments.

    Scrape Old Frame Adhesive

    Apply isopropyl alcohol to a spudger and scrape off all remaining adhesive tape from the frame chassis. Clean thoroughly to ensure a flat fit.

    Apply Fresh Display Adhesive

    Lay down pre-cut double-sided adhesive strips along the edges of the metal frame. Press down firmly and remove the protective backing film.

    Install Replacement Screen

    Thread the display cable through the slot in the frame and align the new screen assembly. Press firmly along edges to bond adhesive.

    Reinstall Motherboard and Components

    Seat the motherboard back into the frame and reconnect all flex cables. Reinstall the speaker, wireless coil, antenna, and secure with 12 screws.

    Reseal Rear Glass Panel
