Power Off the Phone
1 minPress and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is entirely powered down before starting disassembly.

Remove the SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole at the top of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray and pull it out.

Heat the Rear Glass
2 minApply heat around the perimeter of the rear glass using a heat gun or hairdryer for two minutes to soften the frame adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear glass panel near the bottom edge.

Create an Entry Gap
2 minPull up on the suction cup to create a small gap between the glass and frame. Insert an opening pick into the gap.

Slice Bottom Adhesive
2 minSlide the opening pick back and forth across the bottom edge to sever the adhesive bond. Leave the pick in place.

Slice Side Adhesive
3 minInsert a second pick and carefully slide it up the left and right sides toward the top of the phone.

Remove Rear Glass
1 minGently lift the rear glass panel clear of the phone chassis and set it aside.

Unscrew Midframe Screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all twelve 3.5 mm screws securing the midframe and wireless charging pad.

Remove Antenna Bracket
1 minPry up the plastic upper antenna bracket with a spudger and remove it from the phone.

Detach Wireless Charging Coil
2 minPry up the edge of the wireless charging assembly and peel the flexible pad off the battery surface.

Remove Loudspeaker Module
1 minInsert a plastic spudger beneath the lower loudspeaker module and pry it out of the bottom chassis.

Disconnect Battery Connector
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery flex cable straight up off the motherboard socket.

Apply Adhesive Remover
2 minPlace a few drops of isopropyl alcohol around the battery edges to break down the underlying glue.

Pry Up the Battery
3 minInsert a plastic card or flat spudger along the left side of the battery. Carefully lever it upward to separate it from the chassis.

Remove Old Battery
1 minLift the old battery completely out of the phone well. Do not puncture or bend the removed battery.

Clean Battery Well
2 minWipe away remaining adhesive residue inside the battery compartment using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

2 minApply new adhesive strips to the battery compartment, press the replacement battery into place, and reconnect the press cable.
