   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top of the phone to pop out the SIM tray. Remove the SIM and microSD card tray completely.

   Heat the Rear Panel

   Apply heat to the edges of the rear glass using a heat gun or iOpener for two minutes to soften the internal adhesive. Keep the heat source moving constantly to avoid hot spots.

   Attach Suction Handle

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower half of the rear glass cover. Pull up gently on the suction handle to create a slight gap between the glass and the aluminum frame.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Insert an opening pick into the gap near the bottom edge of the glass. Slide the pick slowly along all four edges to cut through the strong adhesive strips.

   Remove the Rear Glass

   Lift the rear glass cover off the phone frame once all sides are fully separated. Set the panel aside in a safe, dust-free area.

   Unscrew the Midframe

   Remove the twelve Phillips #00 screws holding the rear midframe, wireless charging coil, and upper antenna assembly in place. Organize the screws for reassembly.

   Remove Upper Antenna Module

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry up and detach the top antenna cover from the chassis. Lift the module straight out of the phone.

   Remove Wireless Charging Pad

   Pry up the edges of the wireless charging pad and middle frame assembly using a spudger. Lift the entire module away from the main frame.

   Disconnect the Battery

   Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex cable straight up from its connector on the motherboard. Disconnecting power prevents shorting out internal circuits.

    Disconnect Display and Sensor Flexes

    Unplug the main display cable, soft key ribbon cables, and front camera press connector from the motherboard using a precision spudger.

    Remove Motherboard Retaining Screw

    Unscrew the single Phillips #00 screw securing the top portion of the motherboard to the housing. Store this screw separately from the midframe screws.

    Lift Out the Motherboard

    Heat Lower Mic Assembly

    Apply mild heat to the bottom lower edge of the frame for 30 seconds to loosen the adhesive securing the primary microphone flex assembly.

    Remove Old Microphone Flex

    Use precision tweezers to lift the primary microphone gasket and delicate ribbon cable from the bottom housing channel. Peel the old assembly out completely.

    Install Replacement Microphone

    Align the new primary microphone flex assembly with the rubber gasket into the bottom housing slot. Press down firmly to stick the adhesive to the frame.

    Reinstall Motherboard

    Guide the motherboard back into the phone frame, bottom-first, ensuring all bottom flex cables stay above the board. Fasten the single Phillips #00 retaining screw.

    Reconnect All Flex Cables

    Press down on the display flex, sensor ribbon cables, and battery connector until they snap into place. Reattach the wireless charging pad and midframe screws.

    Reseal the Rear Glass
