   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before starting.

   Remove SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on top of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat the rear glass panel

   Apply heat around the edges of the back cover for 2 to 3 minutes using a heat gun. Keep the heat source moving constantly to prevent thermal damage.

   Apply suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the bottom half of the rear glass panel. Pull up gently on the suction cup to create a small gap at the bottom edge.

   Slice bottom edge adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the seam created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick along the bottom edge to slice through the adhesive.

   Slice side and top adhesive

   Slide the pick around the curved left, right, and top edges of the phone frame. Take extra care around the curved screen sides to avoid slipping.

   Remove the rear glass panel

   Gently lift the back glass panel up and off the phone chassis. Set the glass panel aside in a safe, clean spot.

   Remove midframe screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all 12 screws securing the internal frame covers.

   Remove wireless charging coil

   Use tweezers or a spudger to pry up the top plastic cover containing the wireless charging pad assembly. Lift it out of the phone frame.

    Remove the loudspeaker assembly

    Pry up the lower speaker module from the chassis using a plastic opening tool. Remove the speaker assembly completely.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Locate the battery connector flex cable on the motherboard. Pry the press connector straight up using the flat end of a spudger.

    Soften battery adhesive

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the gaps around the battery perimeter. Let it sit for 2 minutes to weaken the glue.

    Pry up the old battery

    Insert a flat plastic tool beneath the battery along the outer side frame. Carefully lever the battery upward to free it from the adhesive underneath.

    Clean battery compartment

    Use isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth to wipe away remaining glue residue inside the battery cavity.

    Install replacement battery

    Apply new adhesive strips into the battery compartment, then seat the replacement battery into position.

    Connect battery to motherboard

    Align the battery flex connector with its socket on the motherboard and press down until it snaps into place.
