   Power off and remove SIM tray

   Turn off your Samsung Galaxy S6 completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the right edge to push out and remove the SIM tray.

   Heat the rear glass panel

   Apply heat evenly along the edges of the rear glass for two minutes using a heat gun set to low. This softens the strong adhesive holding the panel to the frame.

   Create an opening gap

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower half of the rear glass. Pull upward gently on the suction cup ring to create a small gap between the glass and the body.

   Slice the rear adhesive

   Insert a plastic prying pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around all four edges of the device to cut through the glass adhesive.

   Remove the rear glass

   Carefully lift the rear glass panel straight off the phone. Set the glass aside on a soft surface to prevent scratching.

   Unscrew the midframe

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the thirteen screws securing the midframe to the assembly. Keep the screws organized for reassembly.

   Separate the midframe assembly

   Hold the edges of the midframe and press down firmly on the battery through the midframe opening. Pull the midframe upward to unclip it from the main display assembly.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board. This prevents accidental short circuits while working.

   Disconnect the front camera

   Pry the front-facing camera ribbon cable connector straight up off the motherboard using a spudger. Lift the camera out if it comes loose.

    Disconnect display and button cables

    Use a plastic spudger to disconnect the display ribbon cable and the earpiece/sensor assembly cable from the upper portion of the logic board.

    Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables

    Use fine tweezers to gently pry the red and blue antenna cable connectors straight up from the bottom end of the logic board.

    Remove the logic board

    Gently lift the top edge of the logic board out of the phone body, ensuring no connected ribbon cables catch on the board. Pull the board up and away to completely free it.
