   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the top edge of the device. Press firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat Rear Glass

   Apply heat to the edges of the rear glass using a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the back panel.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear glass cover. Ensure a tight seal against the surface.

   Create Opening Gap

   Pull upward on the suction cup while holding the frame to lift the glass slightly. Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice Bottom Adhesive

   Slide the pick along the bottom edge of the phone to cut through the adhesive layer. Leave the pick in place to prevent re-sealing.

   Slice Side Adhesive

   Insert a second pick and carefully cut along the left and right sides. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice Top Adhesive

   Slide the pick across the top edge of the glass cover. Ensure the adhesive around all four sides is thoroughly separated.

   Remove Back Cover

   Gently lift the back glass off the device frame. Set it aside on a clean surface.

   Unbolt Midframe Screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 13 screws securing the midframe to the chassis.

    Separate Inner Midframe

    Gently push down on the battery while pulling up on the outer rim of the midframe. Separate the midframe assembly from the display unit.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Locate the battery press-fit connector on the motherboard. Use a plastic spudger to pry the flex cable straight up from its socket.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol

    Dispense a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the battery edges. Wait 2 minutes for the adhesive underneath to weaken.

    Pry Out Old Battery

    Insert a flat plastic spudger beneath the battery base. Lever the battery upward gently until it frees from the frame, then remove it.

    Clean Adhesive Residue

    Wipe away remaining adhesive from the battery well using a lint-free cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply Battery Adhesive

    Attach fresh adhesive strips to the backside of the new battery. Peel off the protective film backing.

    Place the new battery into the well, aligning its flex cable with the motherboard socket. Press down firmly to stick it in place.
