   Remove SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the top edge of the phone to pop out the SIM card tray. Pull the tray completely out of the device.

   Heat Rear Glass Cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on medium setting to warm all edges of the back glass cover for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the rear panel.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly near the lower edge of the back glass. Pull up on the ring to create a tiny gap between the glass and the midframe.

   Insert Plastic Opening Pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Leave the pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

   Slice Back Glass Adhesive

   Slide additional plastic picks around all four edges of the back glass to slice through remaining adhesive. Reapply heat if the pick meets heavy resistance.

   Lift Off Rear Glass

   Gently lift the back glass panel up and off the phone frame. Set it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew Midframe Screws

   Remove the thirteen Phillips #00 screws securing the inner plastic midframe to the display assembly.

   Separate Midframe Bezel

   Gently push down on the battery through the rear housing opening while pulling the outer metal edge up to detach the midframe assembly.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery flex connector straight up from the motherboard.

    Disconnect Display Cable

    Pry the display ribbon cable connector up from its socket near the upper right corner of the motherboard.

    Disconnect Front Camera

    Pry the front-facing camera flex connector up to disconnect it from the top of the motherboard.

    Disconnect Earpiece Speaker

    Disconnect the earpiece speaker flex cable connector from the upper motherboard section.

    Disconnect Antenna Cables

    Use tweezers or a spudger to carefully unclip the coaxial antenna cables from the bottom section of the motherboard.

    Remove Motherboard

    Gently lift the top edge of the motherboard and tilt it up to remove it completely from the chassis frame.

    Heat Battery Adhesive

    Apply mild heat from a heat gun to the front of the display assembly behind the battery location to loosen internal adhesive.

    Pry Out Battery

    Insert a flat plastic spudger beneath the battery and pry slowly to lift it out of the screen chassis. Never use sharp or metal tools on the battery.

    Remove Earpiece Speaker Assembly

    Use tweezers to pry up and remove the earpiece speaker and sensor cable assembly from the top frame recess.

    Remove Vibration Motor

    Pry the circular vibration motor out of its slot in the top corner of the original display frame.

    Prepare New Display Assembly

    Peel away any protective plastic film or tape covers from the rear of the new screen assembly chassis.

    Install Speaker and Motor

    Transfer and press the earpiece speaker module and vibration motor into their corresponding slots on the new display assembly.

    Install Motherboard

    Angle the motherboard back into the new chassis and press display/sensor ribbon cables firmly into their respective connectors.

    Reinstall Battery

    Place the battery back into its frame housing and connect its flex cable to the motherboard.

    Reattach Midframe Bezel

    Position the midframe assembly over the display chassis and press firmly along the perimeter until clips snap into place.

    Secure Midframe Screws

    Reinstall the thirteen Phillips #00 screws to hold the midframe tightly against the display assembly.

    Apply Rear Glass Adhesive

    Place pre-cut double-sided adhesive strips along the outer edges of the rear midframe, peeling off the protective backing.

    Install Rear Glass Cover

    Align the back glass cover precisely over the frame and press down along all edges to secure it to the adhesive.

    Reinsert SIM Card Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into the top slot until it sits flush against the frame.
