   Power down the device

   Press and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off to safely shut down your Galaxy S6 Edge.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole at the top of the phone to push out the tray.

   Heat the rear glass panel

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat to warm the back glass perimeter for two to three minutes.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass and press down firmly to create a strong seal.

   Insert an opening pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap and slide a plastic opening pick under the rear glass.

   Slice through the rear adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along all four edges of the back panel to slice through the factory adhesive.

   Remove the rear glass

   Gently lift the back glass panel off the phone body and place it on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the midframe fasteners

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all 13 screws securing the metal midframe.

   Warm the midframe edges

   Apply heat around the front display edges for 1 minute to weaken the adhesive holding the midframe assembly.

    Separate the midframe assembly

    Push down firmly against the battery while pulling the plastic midframe upward to unclip it from the display.

    Disconnect the battery connector

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery flex cable straight up from the motherboard socket.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol

    Drip a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the battery edges to dissolve the underlying glue.

    Pry up the battery

    Insert a plastic spudger beneath the battery and carefully lever it out of the chassis.

    Clean the battery compartment

    Wipe down the battery recess with alcohol and a lint-free cloth to clear away old adhesive residue.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Lay fresh adhesive strips into the battery compartment and remove the protective film backing.

    Position the replacement battery

    Press the new battery into the compartment and attach its flex cable to the motherboard connector.

    Snap the midframe into place

    Align the midframe over the chassis and press along the edges until the plastic tabs snap securely.

    Reinstall the midframe screws

    Thread and tighten the 13 Phillips #00 screws back into the midframe.

    Apply rear glass adhesive

    Place precut replacement adhesive strips around the perimeter of the rear frame.
