Step-by-step

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole at the top edge of the device. Push firmly until the tray ejects, then pull it out completely.

Heat Back Cover
3 minApply heat around the perimeter of the rear glass for two to three minutes using a heat gun. This softens the strong factory adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
2 minPress a suction cup firmly near the bottom edge of the glass back panel. Pull up gently on the ring to create a small gap.

Slice Rear Adhesive

2 minPry the wide charging port daughterboard flex connector straight up off the bottom section of the motherboard.

Disconnect Antenna Cables
2 minUse precision tweezers to gently unclip the black and white antenna coaxial cables from their motherboard connectors.

Remove Motherboard Retaining Screw
1 minUnscrew the single Phillips #000 screw securing the logic board near the top camera housing.

Remove Logic Board
3 minGrasp the top edge of the logic board and tilt it up carefully. Lift the logic board out of the chassis without snagging surrounding cables.
