   Eject SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top of the device. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

   Heat back cover glass

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun around all edges of the back glass for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction handle near the bottom edge of the glass back cover and press down to create a tight seal.

   Create initial opening gap

   Pull up gently on the suction handle to create a small gap between the back glass and the frame.

   Insert opening pick

   Slide the edge of a plastic opening pick into the gap under the back glass cover.

   Slice bottom adhesive

   Slide the pick along the bottom edge of the device to cut through the factory adhesive.

   Slice right edge adhesive

   Carefully guide the opening pick around the corner and slide it up the right edge.

   Slice top edge adhesive

   Continue sliding the pick across the top edge of the back glass panel.

   Slice left edge adhesive

   Slide the pick down the curved left edge to release the remaining perimeter adhesive.

    Lift back cover glass

    Lift the rear glass cover completely off the chassis and set it aside safely.

    Remove midframe screws

    Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all 15 screws securing the midframe to the assembly.

    Push midframe out

    Hold the midframe edges while pressing down firmly on the battery to separate the inner display assembly.

    Separate midframe assembly

    Lift the outer midframe away from the front panel and motherboard assembly.

    Disconnect battery connector

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up off the motherboard socket.

    Apply adhesive remover

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the battery to loosen the glue.

    Pry battery out

    Insert a plastic opening card under the battery edge and gently lift until the battery releases from the chassis.

    Clean battery well

    Wipe away residual battery glue from the chassis frame using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Place custom battery adhesive strips into the empty battery well and peel off the protective liner.

    Install replacement battery

    Lower the new battery into the well and press down firmly to seat it onto the fresh adhesive.

    Reconnect battery connector

    Align and press the battery ribbon cable connector straight down onto the motherboard socket until it clicks.

    Snap midframe into place

    Align the midframe over the display assembly and press around the perimeter until all clips snap together.

    Secure midframe screws

    Reinstall the 15 Phillips #00 screws to firmly fasten the midframe to the chassis.

    Apply back glass adhesive

    Position replacement back glass adhesive tape along the outer rim of the frame.

    Reattach back cover glass

    Align the back glass cover with the phone body and press firmly along all edges to secure the bond.

    Reinsert SIM card tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot at the top of the device until it sits flush.
