Step-by-step

Power off the phone

Detach the midframe

1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery connector directly up from the motherboard.

Remove the speaker module
2 minPry up the loudspeaker module from the bottom portion of the frame using a spudger or tweezers.

Install the new speaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker module with the housing recess and press it firmly into position.

Reconnect the battery
1 minAlign the battery press connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down gently until it snaps into place.

Reinstall the midframe
4 minSnap the midframe back onto the chassis and replace the 12 Phillips screws.

Reseal the rear cover
3 minApply new custom adhesive strips around the rear frame, then press the back cover firmly into place to secure it.
