Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off to completely turn off the device before disassembling.

Remove the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or thin paperclip into the hole next to the SIM tray on the side of the phone to eject it.

Remove Outer Rear Screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all 11 visible outer screws on the rear rubberized bumper frame.

Heat the Rear Bezel Assembly
2 minApply heat around the perimeter of the back shell using a heat gun or hairdryer for about two minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Unclip the Outer Rear Housing
4 minInsert a plastic opening pick under the edge of the rear cover and carefully slide along the sides to unhook the plastic retaining clips.

Remove Midframe Screws
3 minRemove the remaining Phillips screws securing the internal plastic midframe to the phone chassis.

Pry Apart the Midframe
3 minInsert a spudger between the midframe and the front screen assembly to separate the midframe from the chassis.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up off the logic board.

Disconnect the Display Flex Cable
1 minCarefully pry up the display flex cable connector located near the upper-middle section of the logic board.

Disconnect Front Camera and Ear Speaker
2 minDisconnect the front-facing camera connector and ear speaker assembly flex cable from their logic board sockets.

Disconnect Antenna Cables
2 minUse tweezers or a spudger to gently pop off the red and white coaxial antenna connectors from the bottom of the logic board.

Remove Board Retaining Screws
1 minUnscrew the single Phillips screw holding the top portion of the logic board to the front frame.

Lift and Remove the Logic Board
2 minGently lift the logic board from the top edge and pivot it upward to clear the lower ports, then lift it out completely.
