   Power Off the Phone

   Press and hold the Power button until the power menu appears, then tap Power Off to completely turn off the phone.

   Remove the Back Cover

   Insert your fingernail or a plastic opening tool into the notch at the top corner of the back cover and pry it off.

   Remove the Battery

   Lift the battery out of its compartment using the recessed notch at the bottom edge.

   Remove SIM and MicroSD Cards

   Press down gently and slide out both the SIM card and microSD card from their respective slots.

   Remove Display Connector Cover

   Use a spudger to pry off the small plastic connector cover located on the back housing near the top center.

   Disconnect Display Ribbon Cable

   Gently pry the display ribbon cable connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger.

   Heat Front Screen Edges

   Apply heat around the outer glass edges with a heat gun on low for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the screen adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the upper section of the front screen to gain leverage.

   Slice Top Glass Adhesive

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert an opening pick under the top glass edge.

    Slice Left Edge Adhesive

    Slide the opening pick carefully down the left side of the frame to cut through the display adhesive.

    Slice Right Edge Adhesive

    Insert another pick and slide it along the right edge of the screen, staying close to the outer border.

    Carefully Separate Bottom Adhesive

    Pry gently around the bottom edge, taking extreme care not to tear the soft capacitive key ribbons next to the home button.

    Remove Damaged Display Assembly

    Thread the display ribbon cable out through the slot in the chassis and lift the old screen off the body.

    Clean Frame Adhesive Residue

    Scrape away remaining adhesive from the inner frame using a spudger and clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply New Frame Adhesive

    Lay fresh, pre-cut adhesive strips along the perimeter of the phone chassis and peel off the protective backing.

    Thread Display Ribbon Cable

    Pass the new display screen's ribbon cable through the frame opening from front to back.

    Reconnect Display Cable

    Align and press the display connector firmly onto its motherboard socket from the rear access port.

    Reinstall Display Connector Cover

    Snap the small plastic access door back over the display connector socket until it clicks into place.

    Align and Seal New Display

    Align the new screen perfectly with the body housing and press firmly along all four edges to set the adhesive.
