Power off device
1 minPress and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on the screen to shut down the phone completely.

Remove back cover
1 minUse your fingernail or a plastic prying tool at the top notch to unclip and lift off the rear shell.

Remove battery
1 minLift the lithium-ion battery out of its bay from the bottom notch and set it aside.

Remove MicroSD and SIM cards

4 minInsert a plastic prying tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the perimeter to separate the screen.

Disconnect display flex cable
2 minPivot the top edge of the display up and use a spudger to gently pop off the display connector.

Remove midframe screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all securing screws around the midframe border.

Separate midframe from housing
3 minPry around the inner edge of the plastic bezel to unsnap and remove the midframe.

2 minLocate the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom frame and use tweezers to unhook its retaining tabs.

Remove defective speaker
1 minPry the old loudspeaker module out of its chassis recess using a flat spudger tool.

Install replacement speaker
2 minAlign the new loudspeaker module with the bottom housing and press it firmly into position.

Reassemble frame and display
5 minSnap the midframe back onto the housing, replace all screws, reconnect display flex cable, and resecure adhesive.
