Power off the Galaxy S4 Mini

Detach the midframe assembly
2 minLift the midframe away from the front display chassis to expose the motherboard and internal speaker modules.

Disconnect the speaker flex cable
2 minUse the flat end of a spudger to gently pop the earpiece speaker flex connector off its socket on the motherboard.

Pry out the damaged earpiece speaker
2 minInsert tweezers under the edge of the speaker housing and gently pry it out of its plastic recess.

Insert the new speaker assembly
2 minPlace the replacement speaker into the housing recess and press down firmly to set the pre-applied adhesive.

Reconnect the speaker flex cable
1 minAlign the speaker flex cable connector over its motherboard socket and press down lightly until it snaps into place.

Reattach the midframe
2 minPosition the midframe over the front display panel. Press firmly around all edges until the plastic clips snap together.

Reinstall midframe screws
3 minInsert and tighten the ten Phillips #00 screws into the midframe until snug.

Reinstall cards, battery, and rear cover
2 minReinsert the SIM and microSD cards, place the battery back into its compartment, and snap the rear cover back on.
