   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the Power button on the right side of the phone until the menu appears. Select Power Off and wait for the screen to go completely dark.

   Attach Anti-Static Strap

   Secure an anti-static wrist strap to your wrist and connect the clip to a grounded metal object. This prevents electrostatic discharge from damaging internal electronics.

   Locate Rear Cover Notch

   Find the small opening notch on the top edge of the back cover. This slot allows access for prying tools.

   Unsnap Top Edge of Cover

   Insert a plastic prying tool or fingernail into the top cover notch. Carefully twist upward to release the initial plastic clips.

   Unclip Sides of Back Cover

   Slide the plastic prying tool down along the left and right edges of the phone. Press outward gently to disengage all perimeter clips.

   Lift Off Back Cover

   Grasp the loosened rear panel and lift it away from the phone body. Place the cover aside on your clean workspace mat.

   Locate Battery Release Notch

   Find the small recessed notch located at the bottom edge of the battery compartment.

   Pry Battery Upward

   Insert a plastic prying tool into the bottom battery notch. Pry upward to lift the bottom of the battery out of its recess.

   Remove Old Battery

   Grasp the raised edges of the battery with your fingers and pull it out of the compartment. Store the old battery safely away from heat and metal.

    Inspect Terminal Pins

    Examine the four gold connector pins inside the phone battery bay for dust or bent contacts.

    Clean Terminal Contacts

    Dampen a cotton swab slightly with isopropyl alcohol. Gently wipe the metallic contact pins to remove any residue or oxidation.

    Align New Battery Contacts

    Position the replacement battery over the bay. Line up the battery's gold contacts with the matching spring pins in the top right of the compartment.

    Press the contact side of the battery down first, then push the bottom end into the recess until it sits flat.

    Align the plastic back cover over the back of the device, matching up the camera and speaker cutouts.

    Snap Rear Cover Closed

    Apply firm pressure around the outer edges of the back cover with your thumbs. Ensure every retaining clip clicks securely into place.
