Power off the device

Remove the back cover
1 minInsert your fingernail or a plastic prying tool into the notch at the top of the rear cover. Pry the back cover away from the chassis.

Remove the battery

Eject SIM and microSD cards

Remove the damaged charging port
2 minGently lift the micro-USB port off the board with tweezers once all solder connections are molten or cleared.

3 minUse desoldering braid and isopropyl alcohol to clean residual solder and flux from the logic board contact pads.

Solder the replacement port

Reinstall the logic board
