   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the power button on the right side, then select the option to turn off the phone completely.

   Remove Rear Cover

   Insert a plastic prying tool into the notch near the top edge and lift the back cover off the chassis.

   Extract Battery

   Use your fingernail or a plastic tool to lift the battery out from the recess at the bottom.

   Remove SIM and SD Cards

   Slide out the SIM card and microSD card from their respective metal slots.

   Unscrew Midframe

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 10 screws securing the rear midframe.

   Pry Open Midframe

   Insert a plastic prying tool into the seam between the chrome bezel and the rear midframe.

   Detach Rear Midframe

   Slide the prying tool along the edges to release the plastic clips and lift the midframe away.

   Disconnect Speaker Flex Cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry up the earpiece speaker assembly press-fit connector from the motherboard.

   Remove Old Speaker Assembly

   Use tweezers to carefully lift the earpiece speaker and sensor assembly out of its recessed notch.

    Insert Replacement Speaker

    Set the new earpiece speaker assembly directly into the top slot of the front housing frame.

    Connect Speaker Cable

    Align the flex connector over the socket on the motherboard and press down gently until it snaps in place.

    Reinstall Midframe

    Press the midframe back onto the display assembly until all perimeter clips snap shut, then reinsert the 10 Phillips screws.
