Step-by-step

Power off device
1 minPress and hold the power and volume down buttons, then select power off to shut down completely.

Eject SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject pin into the tray hole at the bottom frame to pop out the tray.

Remove S Pen
1 minPush inward on the S Pen end to release the click mechanism and pull it out of the body.

5 minSlide the pick around the full perimeter of the front glass to free the damaged display.

2 minCarefully lift the display off the frame while guiding the attached ribbon cable through the frame slot.

Clean frame adhesive residue
4 minDampen a lint-free cloth with 99% isopropyl alcohol and scrape away remaining adhesive from the inner bezel.

Apply pre-cut screen adhesive
3 minPeel the backing off new frame adhesive strips and press them firmly along the perimeter of the frame.

3 minThread the display ribbon cable back through the frame slot and seat the new screen panel firmly into place.
