   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the bottom frame. Push firmly to pop out and remove the SIM tray.

   Remove the S Pen

   Press in on the S Pen top button until it clicks out. Pull the stylus completely out of its slot and set it aside.

   Heat the back cover

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun around all edges of the rear glass for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction handle

   Place a suction cup on the lower third of the back glass above the USB port. Press down firmly to secure suction.

   Insert an opening pick

   Pull up on the suction handle to create a tiny gap at the bottom edge. Slide the tip of an opening pick into the gap.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along the bottom edge of the device to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

   Slice the side adhesive

   Guide the pick around the bottom corners and up both sides of the phone. Keep the pick insertion depth shallow to protect internal cables.

   Slice the top adhesive

   Slide the pick across the top edge to slice the remaining glue. Carefully separate the back glass from the chassis.

   Remove the rear glass

   Lift the rear glass off the frame completely. Set it on a clean surface and remove old adhesive remnants with isopropyl alcohol.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker cover

    Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding down the lower loudspeaker housing.

    Remove the loudspeaker assembly

    Insert the tip of a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker assembly. Lift and remove it from the lower case.

    Unscrew the midframe shield

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the wireless charging coil and upper midframe shield.

    Disconnect the battery press connector

    Pry the battery connector straight up from the motherboard using a plastic spudger. This cuts power to prevent short circuits.

    Remove the wireless charging pad

    Gently peel up and remove the wireless charging coil pad along with the attached upper shield plate.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Use the pointed end of a spudger to detach the main interconnect ribbon cable from the USB-C daughterboard.

    Disconnect the display cable

    Pry up the display flex cable press-connector located on the left side of the daughterboard.

    Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables

    Use precision tweezers to lift the coaxial antenna connectors straight up from the daughterboard.

    Unscrew the USB-C daughterboard

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the charging port board to the frame.

    Remove the old USB-C board

    Insert a spudger beneath the board and gently lift the damaged USB-C daughterboard out of the frame.

    Seat the replacement daughterboard

    Position the new USB-C daughterboard in the lower chassis and press it gently into place.

    Fasten the daughterboard screws

    Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screws to hold the replacement daughterboard securely.

    Reconnect flex and antenna cables

    Press down the display flex cable, main interconnect cable, and coaxial antenna leads onto their matching board sockets.

    Reinstall loudspeaker and midframe

    Place the loudspeaker and midframe shields back over the components, then press the battery flex back onto its motherboard socket.

    Secure screws and reseal back glass

    Reinstall all housing screws, apply new pre-cut back panel adhesive strips, and press the back glass firmly shut.
