   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the Side button and Volume Down button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Heat Rear Glass

   Apply a heat gun or heating pad to the back cover edges for 2 to 3 minutes. Heat softens the factory adhesive holding the rear glass to the frame.

   Attach Suction Handle

   Place a suction cup on the lower section of the back cover and press down firmly to secure it. Pull up gently on the suction cup handle to create a small gap.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass back and the outer frame. Keep the pick flat and insert it no deeper than 3 millimeters.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slide the pick along the bottom, sides, and top perimeter to sever the adhesive bond. Reapply heat to the glass if the pick starts to snag.

   Remove Back Glass

   Carefully lift the rear glass off the frame and set it aside in a safe location. Clear away any loose adhesive strips left on the edges.

   Unscrew Midframe Cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 13 screws securing the upper plastic motherboard bracket. Keep the screws organized for reassembly.

   Disconnect Wireless Charging Coil

   Pry up the wireless charging pad connector from the motherboard using a plastic spudger. Carefully peel the flexible antenna pad off the upper battery area.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Locate the main battery flex connector on the motherboard and pop it straight up with a plastic spudger. Never use metal tools to disconnect active battery lines.

    Unscrew Loudspeaker Module

    Remove the remaining Phillips screws securing the bottom speaker enclosure to the frame. Set these screws aside in a separate tray.

    Remove Loudspeaker Module

    Insert the edge of your pry tool under the loudspeaker housing and lift it out of the chassis. This exposes the bottom region of the battery well.

    Apply Adhesive Remover

    Apply a few drops of battery adhesive remover or high-purity isopropyl alcohol around the battery edges. Let it sit for 2 minutes to dissolve the underside adhesive.

    Pry Up Battery

    Insert a wide plastic pry tool into the gap along the bottom edge of the battery. Apply firm, steady upward leverage to lift the battery out of the frame.

    Remove Old Battery

    Lift the freed battery out of the phone frame completely. Inspect the battery well for any remaining liquid or sharp fragments.

    Clean Battery Housing

    Wipe down the bottom of the battery compartment using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Ensure the aluminum surface is free of residual glue.

    Install New Battery

    Lay fresh pre-cut adhesive strips into the battery recess, then press the replacement battery firmly into place. Reconnect the battery flex cable to test alignment.
