Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before opening it.

2 minApply a heat gun or heated iOpener along the bottom edge of the rear glass for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

Attach Suction Handle
1 minPress a suction handle firmly near the bottom edge of the rear glass cover to create a seal.

Create an Opening Gap
2 minPull up on the suction handle to create a small gap between the glass and the frame. Insert an opening pick into the gap.

Slice Rear Adhesive
3 minSlide the opening pick along all four edges of the back cover to cut through the adhesive seal. Leave picks in place to prevent re-sealing.

Remove the Rear Cover
1 minGently lift the back glass off the frame and lay it down on a clean surface.

Unscrew Wireless Charging Pad
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the top speaker housing and wireless charging coil frame.

Detach Wireless Charging Coil
2 minUnclip and lift the wireless charging pad and upper motherboard bracket away from the device.

Unscrew Lower Loudspeaker
2 minRemove the Phillips screws holding the bottom loudspeaker assembly over the sub-board.

1 minPry up the lower loudspeaker module using a plastic spudger and lift it out of the chassis.

1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the bottom frame and push to remove the SIM card tray.

Disconnect Interconnect Flex Cables
2 minUse a spudger to pry straight up and disconnect the main ribbon flex cables attached to the daughterboard.

Unscrew Daughterboard
1 minRemove the single Phillips screw anchoring the microphone sub-board to the bottom well.

Remove Microphone Board
2 minInsert a spudger under the corner of the daughterboard containing the primary microphone and USB-C port, then lift it out.

Install New Microphone Board
2 minAlign the new microphone daughterboard in the lower chassis frame and press down gently until it sits flush.

Secure Daughterboard Screw
1 minThread and tighten the single Phillips screw to fix the new microphone board into position.

Reconnect Flex Cables and SIM Tray
2 minPress the flex cable connectors down onto the board until they snap in, then reinsert the SIM card tray.

Reinstall Speaker Module
2 minSet the lower loudspeaker module back over the daughterboard and secure it with its Phillips screws.
