Step-by-step

Power Off the Galaxy S24
1 minPress and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons simultaneously, then tap Power Off on the screen.

Heat the Bottom Edge
2 minApply a heat gun set to low warmth along the bottom edge of the rear glass for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach the Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower third of the back cover, just above the USB-C port.

Insert an Opening Pick
2 minPull upward on the suction cup to create a small gap between the glass and frame, then insert an opening pick into the seam.

Slice Bottom Adhesive
2 minSlide the opening pick carefully back and forth across the bottom edge to slice the adhesive seal.

Heat and Slice the Left Edge
3 minWarm the left side of the back cover with the heat gun, then guide an opening pick up along the left seam.

Heat and Slice the Top Edge
3 minApply heat to the top perimeter of the phone and slide the pick across the top edge to sever the glue.

Heat and Slice the Right Edge
3 minHeat the right side and move your pick down toward the bottom corner until all edges are free.

Lift Off the Back Cover
1 minGently lift the back cover straight off the chassis and set it aside.

Clean Frame Adhesive
5 minApply a few drops of isopropyl alcohol to leftover frame adhesive and scrape it clean using a plastic spudger.

Apply New Adhesive
3 minPeel the protective backing off the replacement adhesive strip and align it carefully along the phone's rear frame.

Press New Back Cover
2 minAlign the replacement back cover over the chassis and press firmly along all edges to seat the waterproof seal.
