   Eject SIM Tray and S Pen

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole near the bottom edge to pop out the SIM tray. Press and pull out the S Pen stylus from its slot.

   Warm Rear Glass Adhesive

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on low heat to warm the edges of the back glass for two minutes. This softens the factory waterproof adhesive underneath.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back glass. Press firmly to create a seal and pull upward gently to create a slight gap.

   Slice Rear Glass Seal

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the adhesive seal.

   Lift Off Rear Glass

   Carefully lift the back glass up from the frame and remove it completely. Set it aside on a clean, soft surface.

   Unscrew Wireless Charging Shield

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 13 screws securing the upper motherboard bracket and wireless charging coil assembly.

   Detach Wireless Charging Assembly

   Gently peel the wireless charging coil away from the battery and pry up the top plastic bracket using a spudger. Remove the assembly.

   Unscrew Lower Loudspeaker

   Remove the five Phillips #00 screws securing the lower loudspeaker module to the bottom of the device frame.

   Pry Out Loudspeaker Unit

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the notch of the loudspeaker housing. Pry upward gently to release it from the frame.

    Disconnect Battery Connector

    Use a plastic spudger to pop the battery flex connector straight up off its motherboard socket to kill power to the board.

    Unclip Interconnect Flex Cables

    Disconnect the main and sub interconnect ribbon cables from the lower daughterboard using a plastic spudger.

    Remove Daughterboard Screws

    Remove the three Phillips #00 screws securing the primary daughterboard, which houses the USB-C port and primary microphone.

    Pry Out Mic Daughterboard

    Slide a plastic opening tool beneath the daughterboard and carefully pry it straight up out of the phone body.

    Seat New Mic Daughterboard

    Position the replacement daughterboard into the frame recess. Press gently until it seats flat and aligns with the screw holes.

    Reconnect Interconnects and Battery

    Press the interconnect ribbon cables and the main battery cable firmly back onto their corresponding sockets until they snap into place.

    Reinstall Loudspeaker and Wireless Coil

    Place the loudspeaker unit and wireless charging assembly back in position. Secure all previously removed Phillips #00 screws tightly.

    Reseal Rear Glass Panel

    Apply a fresh pre-cut adhesive gasket to the perimeter frame. Align the back cover, press it firmly along the edges, and reinstall the SIM tray and S Pen.
