   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons simultaneously. Tap 'Power Off' on the screen to completely shut down the device.

   Heat the rear glass edge

   Apply a heat gun set to low heat along the edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the underlying adhesive.

   Apply suction cup to back panel

   Press a suction cup near the bottom edge of the softened back glass. Pull up firmly to create a tiny gap between the panel and frame.

   Slice the lower edge adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick along the bottom edge to slice the adhesive.

   Slice the side adhesive

   Slide plastic picks around the remaining perimeter of the glass cover. Take care near the camera lenses to prevent glass fracture.

   Lift off the rear panel

   Gently lift the back glass off the chassis. Set it aside on a clean, soft surface to protect the rear camera lenses.

   Unscrew the upper armor frame

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the 13 screws holding the upper midframe and wireless charging pad in place.

   Disconnect the wireless charging coil

   Use a plastic spudger to detach the press connector for the wireless charging pad from the motherboard.

   Remove the wireless charging sheet

   Peel up the wireless charging coil and upper midframe shield together, then remove them from the phone.

    Disconnect the battery press connector

    Pry up the battery cable press connector directly off the motherboard using a non-conductive spudger.

    Unscrew the lower loudspeaker

    Remove the 7 Phillips #000 screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly over the USB charging port.

    Remove the loudspeaker module

    Insert a spudger beneath the edge of the loudspeaker housing and lift the module out of the bottom cavity.

    Disconnect display flex cable

    Use your spudger to pry the screen display flex cable connector straight up from the motherboard.

    Disconnect main interconnect flex

    Disconnect both ends of the main interconnect flex cable connecting the motherboard to the sub-board, then remove it.

    Unscrew and remove motherboard

    Remove the remaining retaining screws on the motherboard, then carefully tilt and lift the board out of the chassis.

    Unscrew and remove sub-board

    Remove the screws securing the sub-board and lift the USB-C charging port board out of the lower chassis.

    Extract the battery from frame

    Pull the clear battery pull-tab steadily upward to detach the battery from its adhesive well.

    Transfer vibration motor to new screen assembly

    Use fine tweezers to gently lift the vibration motor out of the old frame and place it into the matching slot on the new screen assembly.

    Install sub-board and motherboard

    Set the USB-C sub-board and main motherboard into their respective housings in the new display assembly and tighten their screws.

    Reconnect internal display cables and battery

    Press down firmly to reattach the display cable, interconnect flex, and battery cable onto their board sockets.

    Reinstall upper and lower frame covers

    Replace the loudspeaker module and wireless charging shield, then secure all Phillips #000 screws evenly.

    Seal the rear panel with fresh adhesive

    Apply a pre-cut adhesive strip to the rear frame, align the back cover, and press firmly along all edges to seal.
