Step-by-step

Eject SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the bottom of the device and push firmly to pop out the tray.

Heat the back cover edges
3 minApply heat to the rear perimeter using a heat gun set to 80°C (176°F) for approximately two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach suction cup
2 minPlace a suction cup on the lower third of the back glass and pull upward gently to create a slight seam.

Insert opening pick
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap between the frame and the rear glass.

Slice perimeter adhesive
4 minMove the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the remaining adhesive tape.

Lift off rear glass
2 minCarefully separate the rear glass panel from the frame and set it on a clean workspace.

Unscrew wireless charging coil
3 minRemove the Phillips #000 screws securing the upper motherboard shield and wireless charging coil assembly.

Disconnect antenna coaxial cables
2 minUse tweezers to unclip the blue and white antenna cables attached to the daughterboard.

Unscrew charging port sub-board
2 minRemove the remaining Phillips screws securing the daughterboard to the bottom chassis.

Remove broken daughterboard
2 minPry beneath the USB-C board with a plastic tool and lift the old assembly out of the phone.

Set replacement port board
2 minPlace the new charging port sub-board into the recessed cavity and press it flush into position.

Secure sub-board and re-attach cables
4 minReinstall the screws, then snap the antenna coaxial cables and main interconnect flex connectors back into place.

Reinstall speaker and battery connection
4 minSeat the lower speaker assembly into position, screw it down, and reconnect the battery flex connector.

Reseal back glass
5 minApply a new pre-cut adhesive strip to the frame perimeter and press the back panel firmly down to seal.
