Step-by-step

Heat the back glass
3 minApply a heat gun or heated pad around the perimeter of the back glass for 2-3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach a suction cup
1 minPlace a suction handle near the bottom edge of the back glass and pull up gently to create a slight gap.

Insert an opening pick
2 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap created between the back glass and the frame.

Slice the perimeter adhesive
4 minSlide the pick around all four edges of the back glass to slice through the factory adhesive.

Lift off the back glass
2 minCarefully tilt and lift the back glass off the phone chassis, then set it aside.

Unscrew the upper shield assembly
3 minRemove the six Phillips #00 screws securing the upper wireless charging coil and motherboard shield.

Remove the wireless charging coil
2 minPry up the edges of the wireless charging assembly with a spudger and remove it from the frame.

Unscrew the lower speaker housing
2 minRemove the six Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker module in place at the bottom of the device.

Pry up the loudspeaker module
2 minInsert a spudger beneath the lower speaker module notch and carefully pry it out of the frame.

Clean the speaker seating area
2 minUse a cotton swab lightly dampened with 99% isopropyl alcohol to wipe away dust and adhesive residue from the speaker recess.

Seat the new loudspeaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker assembly into the lower recess and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

Secure the speaker screws
2 minReinstall and tighten the six Phillips #00 screws that lock the loudspeaker module in place.

Reinstall the wireless charging coil
3 minSet the wireless charging coil back over the motherboard and tighten its six Phillips #00 screws.

Apply back cover adhesive
3 minPeel the protective backing off the new pre-cut adhesive gasket and align it onto the inner rim of the phone frame.

Press the back glass close
2 minAlign the back glass over the frame and apply firm pressure along all edges to seat the adhesive seal.
