Step-by-step

Turn off the phone
1 minPower down your Samsung Galaxy S23 completely. Unplug any charging cables before starting.

Heat the back glass
3 minApply heat around the perimeter of the rear glass using a heat gun or hair dryer for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach suction cup
1 minPress a suction cup onto the lower portion of the back glass and pull up firmly to create a tiny gap.

Insert opening pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created between the frame and the rear glass.

Slice the rear adhesive
4 minSlide the pick carefully along all four sides of the phone to slice through the perimeter adhesive seal.

Remove the back glass
1 minLift the rear glass off the frame and set it aside safely on a clean workspace.

Unscrew the wireless charging coil
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the wireless charging pad and NFC assembly.

Detach the wireless charging pad
2 minGently peel up the wireless charging pad flex cable and lift the pad off the frame.

Disconnect the battery
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery flex cable straight up from the motherboard connector.

1 minLift the plastic motherboard bracket out of the device frame using tweezers.

Disconnect the side button flex cable
1 minPry up the power and volume button flex cable connector from the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

Remove the power button retaining bracket
2 minUse fine tweezers to unclip and remove the small metal bracket holding the power switch inside the side frame.

Extract the damaged power button
2 minCarefully pull the faulty power button module and key gasket out of the side frame cutout.

Install the new power button
2 minPosition the replacement power button button flex assembly flush into the side frame cutout.

Reinstall the metal bracket
2 minPress the metal retaining bracket back over the new power button switch until it snaps securely into place.

Reconnect the button flex cable
1 minAlign and press down on the power button flex cable connector until it clicks onto the motherboard.

Reinstall the motherboard cover
2 minPlace the upper motherboard shield back into position and secure it using the Phillips #000 screws.

Reconnect the battery flex cable
1 minPress the battery connector firmly back onto the motherboard socket.

Reattach the wireless coil and back glass
5 minScrew down the wireless charging coil, apply new back cover adhesive, and press the rear glass firmly to seal.
