Power Down the Phone

3 minApply heat to the outer edges of the rear glass cover for 2 to 3 minutes using a heat gun on low power.

2 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the glass back panel and pull up firmly to create a gap.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the rear glass and the metal frame.

1 minUse the edge of a spudger to disconnect the main interconnect board ribbon from the charging sub-board.

Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cables
2 minUse precision tweezers to lift the blue and white antenna cable heads off their sub-board sockets.

Unscrew Daughterboard Retaining Screw
1 minRemove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the charging port daughterboard to the frame.

Remove Old Charging Board
2 minInsert a spudger under the edge of the USB-C daughterboard and pry it out of its housing.

Position New Charging Board
2 minAlign the replacement charging board into the lower frame cutout and press it down flush.

Secure Sub-board and Cables
3 minReinstall the daughterboard screw, then reattach the coaxial cables and main interconnect ribbon connectors.

Reinstall Loudspeaker and Coil
4 minSet the loudspeaker and wireless charging coil back in place, then tighten all Phillips screws.
