   Eject the S Pen

   Press the exposed end of the S Pen at the bottom edge until it clicks out. Pull the S Pen completely out of its slot and set it aside.

   Remove the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small pinhole next to the USB-C port. Press firmly to pop out the tray, then pull it out of the device.

   Heat the Rear Glass Cover

   Apply a heat gun or hairdryer evenly around the rear glass edges for 2 minutes to soften the factory adhesive.

   Apply Suction Cup and Insert Pick

   Press a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear glass and pull upward firmly to create a gap. Insert an opening pick under the glass edge.

   Slice Through Glass Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the back panel to cut through the peripheral adhesive. Keep the pick flat to avoid damaging internal components.

   Detach the Rear Glass

   Lift the rear glass cover straight off the chassis once all adhesive seals are fully broken. Clear away any loose adhesive strips left on the frame.

   Unscrew Wireless Charging Module

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 13 screws securing the upper motherboard bracket and wireless charging pad.

   Peel Off Wireless Pad

   Disconnect the wireless charging pad flex cable from the motherboard using a plastic spudger. Peel the wireless antenna pad away from the frame.

   Remove Lower Loudspeaker Assembly

   Remove the 6 Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom speaker module. Pry up and remove the speaker housing from the bottom of the device.

    Disconnect Battery Connector

    Use the edge of a plastic spudger to pry the battery press connector directly up off the mainboard. Never use metal tools near the battery terminal.

    Disconnect Display Flex Cable

    Locate the display cable near the center of the frame and disconnect its press connector from the motherboard.

    Remove Interconnect Cables

    Disconnect the main-to-sub interconnect flex cables from both the motherboard and lower sub-board. Lift them out of the phone body.

    Remove Main Motherboard

    Unscrew the single Phillips #00 retaining screw near the top right of the motherboard. Carefully lift the motherboard out of the frame by its edges.

    Remove USB-C Sub-Board

    Remove the 3 Phillips #00 screws holding the charging port board in place. Pry up gently to lift the sub-board assembly clear of the frame.

    Soften Battery Adhesive

    Dispense a few drops of high-grade isopropyl alcohol along the top and bottom edges of the battery well. Allow 2 minutes for the adhesive to dissolve.

    Lever Out the Battery

    Place a wide plastic card or heavy suction tool beneath the battery edges. Carefully lift the battery straight up out of the recessed bay.

    Transfer Earpiece and Vibrator Motor

    Use fine tweezers to gently pry the earpiece speaker and haptic vibration motor out of the original frame. Seat them into the corresponding cutouts on the new display assembly.

    Install Mainboard and Sub-Board

    Position the main motherboard and lower sub-board into the new display assembly. Secure both boards using their respective Phillips #00 screws.

    Reconnect Cables and Battery

    Set the battery back into its well, attach the interconnect ribbon cables, and connect the display and battery press connectors to the mainboard.

    Reattach Covers and Reseal Frame

    Reinstall the bottom speaker module and wireless charging assembly with their screws. Apply a new custom rear adhesive gasket before pressing the back cover back into place.
