Step-by-step

Power off device and eject SIM tray
2 minTurn off the Galaxy S23 Ultra completely. Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the bottom frame to pop out the SIM tray.

Heat the rear glass panel
3 minApply heat to the edges of the back cover using a heat gun or hair dryer for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach suction cup to lower back glass
2 minPress a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass. Pull upward firmly to create a small gap between the glass and frame.

Slice perimeter adhesive with opening pick
5 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap. Slide it carefully around all four edges to slice through the factory adhesive.

Lift and remove the rear cover
2 minGently lift the rear glass cover off the phone frame. Set it aside on a clean surface.

Unscrew internal midframe screws
4 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all 18 screws securing the wireless charging coil and lower speaker housing.

Remove wireless charging coil

Disconnect lower end of sensor flex cable
2 minUse tweezers or a spudger to disconnect the lower end of the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable near the daughterboard.

Remove the damaged fingerprint sensor cable
2 minGently peel the defective fingerprint sensor interconnect cable up from the frame and remove it completely.

Position new fingerprint sensor flex cable
3 minAlign the replacement fingerprint sensor flex cable into the chassis matching the original routing path.

Connect new sensor cable press connectors
2 minPress the lower and upper connectors of the replacement flex cable into their respective sockets until they snap into place.

Reconnect the battery cable
1 minSnap the battery flex cable connector back onto its mainboard socket.

Reinstall speaker module and wireless coil
3 minPlace the lower speaker assembly and wireless charging pad back over the motherboard and sub-board.
