   Turn Off the Galaxy S23 Plus

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before starting.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on a medium setting to warm the outer edges of the rear glass for 2 minutes. This softens the adhesive sealing the back panel to the frame.

   Attach Suction Cup and Create a Gap

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass and gently pull upward. Insert a plastic prying pick into the small seam created between the glass and the aluminum frame.

   Slice the Rear Glass Adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully along all four edges of the back panel to cut through the adhesive seal. Do not insert the pick deeper than 3 millimeters near the camera assembly.

   Remove the Rear Glass Panel

   Lift the rear glass straight off the chassis and set it aside safely on a clean surface. Use tweezers to clean away loose adhesive strips along the frame perimeter.

   Unscrew the Upper Midframe and Wireless Coil

   Use a Phillips #00 precision screwdriver to remove the 13 screws securing the upper midframe and wireless charging coil assembly. Keep all screws organized for reassembly.

   Remove the Wireless Charging Coil Assembly

   Gently pry up the wireless charging coil assembly using a plastic spudger to release its retaining clips. Lift the assembly off the phone frame.

   Disconnect the Battery Cable

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pop the battery connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard. Disconnecting the battery prevents accidental short circuits.

   Disconnect the Volume Flex Cable

   Locate the volume button press connector on the upper-right edge of the motherboard. Use a plastic spudger to disconnect the flex cable connector from the board.

    Unscrew Motherboard Retaining Screw

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the top portion of the mainboard near the upper left frame corner. Set this screw aside separately.

    Unseat the Motherboard Edge

    Gently pry up the right side of the main motherboard using a spudger to lift it slightly away from the frame cutout. Do not fully remove or strain connected display cables.

    Remove the Volume Button Metal Bracket

    Use fine tweezers to unlatch and lift out the small metal bracket retaining the volume button assembly inside the frame housing.

    Pry Out the Volume Flex Assembly

    Slide the flat tip of a plastic spudger beneath the volume button flex board to break its adhesive bond with the internal frame wall. Remove the old flex cable.

    Remove Physical Volume Key Covers

    Push the external volume button keys gently inward from the exterior frame toward the inside of the housing using tweezers. Pull out the old physical button keys.

    Install Replacement Volume Button Keys

    Insert the replacement physical volume button keys into the frame cutouts from inside the chassis. Verify that both key tops seat flush and spring cleanly when pressed.

    Secure the Volume Flex Cable and Bracket

    Position the new volume flex cable over the back of the keys, press firmly to engage the adhesive strip, and reinstall the metal retaining bracket.

    Reconnect Motherboard and Battery Cables

    Lower the motherboard back into position and snap the volume flex cable and battery cable connectors onto their motherboard sockets.

    Reassemble Midframe and Secure Rear Cover

    Reinstall the wireless charging midframe, tighten the Phillips screws, apply a fresh adhesive gasket to the chassis frame, and press the back glass firmly into place.
