   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power and volume down buttons until the menu appears, then select Power Off. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Heat the rear glass

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer to the bottom edge of the back panel for two minutes. This softens the adhesive holding the back glass to the frame.

   Attach suction handle

   Place a suction cup on the lower third of the back glass and pull upward gently. Create a small gap between the glass and the metal frame.

   Insert opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam under the back glass. Leave the pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

   Slice back panel adhesive

   Slide additional picks around the remaining perimeter to cut through all rear adhesive. Take care around the camera module to avoid damaging internal components.

   Lift off rear panel

   Gently lift the back glass off the chassis and set it aside. Clean off any residual adhesive sticking to the phone frame using high-concentration isopropyl alcohol.

   Unscrew wireless charging coil

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the five screws holding the wireless charging pad and upper shield. Keep the screws organized for reassembly.

   Remove wireless charging module

   Pry up the wireless charging coil assembly starting from the right side. Peel the coil back and remove it from the device.

   Disconnect the battery

   Use a plastic spudger to pop the battery connector straight up off the motherboard. Disconnecting power prevents accidental shorts during the repair.

    Unscrew lower speaker assembly

    Remove the six Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the phone. Store these screws separately from upper frame screws.

    Remove loudspeaker housing

    Insert a spudger under the top edge of the speaker module and pry upward. Lift the speaker assembly out to reveal the microphone daughterboard.

    Disconnect daughterboard flex cables

    Use a spudger to disconnect the display and main interconnect flex cables from the lower daughterboard. Remove the SIM card tray using an eject tool.

    Remove microphone daughterboard

    Unscrew the single Phillips #00 screw securing the daughterboard to the frame. Gently pry up the board containing the primary microphone and remove it.

    Install replacement daughterboard

    Place the new microphone daughterboard into the lower housing recess and press it flush. Secure it with the single screw and reconnect all ribbon cables.
