Step-by-step

Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power and volume down buttons to completely power off your Galaxy S23 Plus. Disconnect any connected cables.

Heat the Back Glass
3 minApply a heat gun around the perimeter of the back glass for two to three minutes to soften the strong adhesive seal.

Attach the Suction Cup
2 minPlace a suction cup on the lower portion of the back glass and pull up firmly to create a gap. Insert an opening pick into the seam.

Slice the Perimeter Adhesive
5 minSlide the plastic opening pick carefully along all four edges to slice through the factory adhesive. Reapply heat if you encounter resistance.

Remove the Back Glass
1 minLift the rear panel off the frame carefully. Set the glass aside on a clean surface.

Unscrew the Upper Midframe Cover
4 minRemove the 13 Phillips #000 screws securing the wireless charging coil and upper midframe shield.

Remove the Wireless Charging Assembly
2 minUse a spudger to disconnect the wireless charging pad connector from the motherboard. Lift and remove the coil and midframe cover.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minPry the battery connector straight up from the motherboard using a plastic spudger to prevent electrical shorts.

Unscrew the Loudspeaker Housing
3 minRemove the 6 Phillips #000 screws holding the lower loudspeaker housing in place.

Remove the Loudspeaker Assembly
2 minPry the loudspeaker module up with a spudger and lift it out of the lower chassis.

Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor Flex
2 minLocate the fingerprint sensor ribbon connector near the bottom of the mainboard assembly and disconnect it with a spudger.

Remove the Fingerprint Sensor
4 minApply a small drop of isopropyl alcohol around the sensor recess to soften the adhesive. Pry the fingerprint sensor module out using fine-tip tweezers.

Install New Fingerprint Sensor
3 minPosition the new sensor into the frame recess, press firmly into place, and securely reconnect the ribbon cable to the board.
