   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the side button and volume down button, then tap Power Off on the screen.

   Heat the rear glass

   Apply heat to the edges of the back cover for two minutes using a heat gun or hairdryer to soften the adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear glass near the USB-C port.

   Insert an opening pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a gap and slide a thin plastic opening pick under the back cover.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Slide the opening pick carefully along the bottom edge of the device to cut through the adhesive seal.

   Slice the side adhesive

   Move the pick along the left and right edges, slicing the adhesive while keeping the pick shallow.

   Remove the rear glass

   Lift the rear glass off the frame and set it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the wireless coil

   Use a Phillips #00 driver to remove the screws holding the upper wireless charging coil and antenna assembly.

   Detach the wireless coil

   Peel up the wireless charging coil pad and remove the top protective bracket.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Pry the battery press connector straight up off the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

    Remove the loudspeaker

    Lift the loudspeaker housing out from the lower frame cavity.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Unplug both ends of the main interconnect flex cable connecting the daughterboard to the motherboard.

    Disconnect the display cable

    Use a plastic spudger to detach the display flex cable from its socket on the motherboard.

    Apply adhesive remover

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the outer edges of the battery well.

    Wait for adhesive softening

    Allow two minutes for the solvent to penetrate and loosen the factory glue underneath the battery.

    Pry up the battery

    Insert a plastic card or flat spudger under the battery edge and gently lever it upward.

    Remove the old battery

    Lift the degraded battery out of the chassis and store it safely for recycling.

    Clean the battery recess

    Wipe away any residual adhesive inside the frame using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Peel the protective film off the new adhesive strips and lay them into the battery compartment.

    Install the new battery

    Lower the replacement battery into position and press down lightly to seat it.

    Reconnect the flex cables

    Snap the display flex cable and main interconnect cable back onto their motherboard press connectors.

    Install the loudspeaker

    Place the loudspeaker module into the lower frame and fasten its screws.

    Reconnect the battery

    Align and firmly press down the battery flex connector onto the motherboard.

    Reinstall the wireless coil

    Place the wireless charging pad in position and tighten all remaining Phillips #00 screws.

    Reattach the rear glass

    Apply fresh back cover adhesive around the frame rim and press the rear glass firmly in place.
