   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the bottom frame to pop out the tray. Remove the SIM tray and set it aside.

   Heat the back glass

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer to apply uniform heat to the back glass edges for about two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive sealing the rear panel.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower third of the back glass and pull up firmly to create a small gap. Maintain constant upward pressure.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam opened by the suction cup. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging internal ribbons.

   Slice rear panel adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully around all four edges of the back cover. Reapply heat if the adhesive cools down and offers resistance.

   Remove the rear glass panel

   Lift the back cover straight off the frame once all adhesive is cut. Place the rear panel face down on a clean surface.

   Unscrew motherboard bracket

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic motherboard bracket and wireless charging pad. Keep screws organized by length.

   Detach wireless charging coil

   Unclip the wireless charging ribbon cable and carefully peel the assembly off the battery. Set the bracket and coil aside.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use a plastic spudger to gently pry up the battery press connector from the motherboard socket. Disconnecting the battery prevents electrical shorts during repair.

    Unscrew loudspeaker assembly

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device. Lift out the speaker housing and set it aside.

    Disconnect main flex cables

    Use a plastic spudger to detach the main ribbon connector and display flex cable from the motherboard and sub-board. Carefully remove both cables from the chassis.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol

    Drip a few drops of 99% isopropyl alcohol or adhesive remover along the top and side edges of the battery. Allow one to two minutes for the solvent to dissolve the adhesive.

    Pry up the battery

    Insert a flat plastic spudger beneath the battery from the side closest to the outer frame. Pry up steadily until the battery releases from the adhesive.

    Remove the old battery

    Lift the battery out of the frame and dispose of it at a designated e-waste recycling center. Do not puncture or bend the removed cell.

    Clean adhesive residue

    Wipe down the battery well inside the chassis with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Ensure the surface is completely clean and dry.

    Install new adhesive strips

    Peel the backing off new battery adhesive strips and lay them flat into the recessed battery well. Remove the top protective film.

    Position the replacement battery

    Align the new battery with the frame cutout and press it down firmly to secure it onto the adhesive. Ensure the connector cable reaches its socket easily.

    Reconnect main flex cables

    Align and snap the display and main ribbon cables back into their respective connectors on the motherboard and sub-board. Press straight down until they click.

    Reinstall loudspeaker assembly

    Set the loudspeaker housing back into place at the bottom of the frame. Secure it with its original Phillips #00 screws.

    Reconnect battery press connector

    Align the battery flex connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down gently until it snaps into place. Confirm a secure connection.

    Secure wireless charging bracket

    Position the motherboard shield with wireless coil back over the upper assembly. Replace all Phillips #00 screws to fasten it down.

    Apply rear glass adhesive

    Apply a pre-cut replacement adhesive gasket around the inner rim of the phone's frame. Remove the protective liner.

    Seal the back cover

    Press the back glass firmly onto the frame, starting from one corner and working around the perimeter. Apply continuous pressure for a minute to set the bond.
