   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power and volume down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Heat the back glass

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the edges of the back glass for two minutes. This softens the strong perimeter adhesive holding the cover.

   Attach a suction handle

   Press a suction cup onto the bottom center of the rear glass. Pull upward firmly to create a small gap between the glass and the frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Leave the pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully around all four sides of the back panel to cut through the adhesive. Apply additional heat if you feel strong resistance.

   Remove the back glass

   Lift the rear glass cover straight up and off the phone frame. Set it aside in a safe, clean location.

   Unscrew the wireless charging pad

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the wireless charging coil assembly. Keep these screws organized for reassembly.

   Disconnect the battery flex

   Pry the battery connector press fit directly up from the motherboard using a plastic spudger. This prevents electrical shorts during the rest of the repair.

   Unscrew the loudspeaker housing

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker module to the chassis.

    Remove the damaged loudspeaker

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker module and carefully pry it up. Lift the module out of the lower chassis frame.

    Position the new loudspeaker

    Align the replacement loudspeaker assembly with the lower frame alignment posts. Press it gently into place until it sits flush.

    Secure the loudspeaker screws

    Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screws to firmly attach the loudspeaker housing to the frame.

    Reconnect the battery flex

    Align the battery press connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

    Reinstall the wireless charging pad

    Place the wireless charging assembly back onto the motherboard area and secure all corresponding Phillips screws.

    Seal the back glass

    Apply pre-cut replacement adhesive tape along the phone frame edges. Align the back glass cover and press down firmly around the perimeter to seal it.
