   Power down the device

   Press and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Heat the back glass

   Apply heat around the rear glass edges for two to three minutes using a heat gun or hairdryer. This softens the factory perimeter adhesive.

   Attach suction cup to rear glass

   Press a suction cup onto the lower half of the rear panel near the bottom edge. Pull up firmly to create a tiny gap between the glass and frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Leave the pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

   Slice the rear glass adhesive

   Slide opening picks around all four edges of the back panel to slice through the adhesive. Be cautious around the camera bump where adhesive is thicker.

   Lift off the rear glass

   Gently lift the back glass panel straight off the phone chassis. Store it in a safe, dust-free location.

   Unscrew the upper midframe screws

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the fifteen screws securing the midframe and wireless charging assembly. Place the screws in an organizer tray.

   Remove the wireless charging assembly

   Insert a spudger under the plastic midframe edges and gently pry upward. Lift out the wireless charging pad and midframe section.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use the pointed end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket. This prevents electrical shorts during repair.

    Remove the lower speaker module

    Wedge a flat plastic prying tool beneath the loudspeaker module at the bottom of the device. Pry upward to unclip and remove it.

    Disconnect the display cable

    Use a spudger to pop off the primary display flex cable connector from the lower right section of the motherboard.

    Disconnect interconnect flex cables

    Pry up both ends of the main interconnect flex cables connecting the motherboard to the sub-board. Carefully lift the cables away.

    Heat the front screen assembly

    Apply even heat across the entire surface of the display screen for three minutes to soften the display adhesive underneath.

    Attach suction cup to front glass

    Press the suction cup firmly onto the front display panel near the bottom bezel and pull upward.

    Insert pick beneath display glass

    Push a thin opening pick between the OLED glass display panel and the outer aluminum frame.

    Slice through display panel adhesive

    Guide opening picks along all edges of the screen panel to cut through the adhesive layer completely.

    Separate display panel from frame

    Carefully lift the old screen assembly off the body while feeding the display ribbon cable through the slot in the frame.

    Clean the inner frame rim

    Scrape away old adhesive residue from the frame ledge using a spudger and clean it with isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth.

    Apply new display adhesive strips

    Lay down fresh, pre-cut screen adhesive tape onto the clean frame edges and peel off the protective film liners.

    Install the new display assembly

    Thread the replacement screen's flex cable through the frame slot and press the screen firmly into place around all edges.
