   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM slot on the bottom edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out and set it aside.

   Heat the rear glass panel

   Apply heat to the outer edges of the back glass using a heat gun on low power for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the perimeter adhesive seal.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear glass near the charging port. Ensure it creates a strong vacuum seal.

   Create an opening seam

   Pull upward on the suction cup handle to create a slight gap between the back glass and frame. Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along the bottom, sides, and top edges to cut through the adhesive. Reapply heat if the glass resists moving.

   Remove the rear glass panel

   Lift the glass panel completely off the phone body. Set it down on a clean, soft surface to avoid scratching.

   Unscrew the wireless charging coil

   Remove the five Phillips #000 screws securing the wireless charging coil cover. Store the screws in a designated organizer.

   Peel up the wireless charging coil

   Pry up the battery press connector attached to the coil layer, then gently peel the wireless charging assembly off the frame.

   Disconnect the battery flex cable

   Use a plastic spudger to pry the main battery connector straight up from its motherboard socket. This prevents electrical shorts during repair.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly

    Remove the six Phillips #000 screws holding down the lower loudspeaker housing at the bottom of the device.

    Lift out the loudspeaker module

    Pry up the top edge of the loudspeaker module using a plastic spudger. Lift it out of the chassis and set it aside.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Pry up the lower connection of the main display flex cable from the daughterboard using a spudger. Bend the cable back slightly.

    Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables

    Use precision tweezers to gently lift the blue and white coaxial antenna connectors off the lower board. Lift straight up to avoid snapping the tiny pins.

    Remove the sub-board screw

    Unscrew the single Phillips #000 screw locking the daughterboard to the bottom chassis frame.

    Pry out the defective daughterboard

    Insert a spudger beneath the corner of the daughterboard. Pry gently upward to release the board and USB-C port from the housing.

    Insert the replacement daughterboard

    Position the new USB-C daughterboard into the bottom cavity. Press it flat until the port aligns properly with the cutout in the frame.

    Secure the sub-board screw

    Reinstall the single Phillips #000 screw to lock the new daughterboard securely to the frame.

    Reconnect flex and antenna cables

    Snap the coaxial antenna connectors and main interconnect flex cable back onto their respective sockets on the new daughterboard.
