   Power off the device

   Press and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off. Ensure the device is completely powered down before starting.

   Remove the S Pen

   Press inward on the S Pen end to release it from the bottom left slot. Pull the S Pen out completely and set it aside.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the bottom edge. Press firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear glass

   Apply a heat gun or hairdryer on medium heat around all edges of the back cover for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Pull up steadily to create a slight gap between the glass and frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge. Leave it in place to keep the seam open.

   Slice the back cover adhesive

   Slide additional opening picks along the side and top edges to cut through the perimeter adhesive. Take care around the rear camera housing.

   Remove the back glass

   Lift the rear glass cover straight off the chassis once all adhesive is severed. Set it on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the wireless coil

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 15 screws securing the upper motherboard shield and wireless charging coil.

    Remove the wireless coil bracket

    Peel up the copper foil and carefully lift the wireless charging pad and plastic top frame out of the phone.

    Disconnect the battery

    Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex connector straight up from its motherboard socket. This cuts power to prevent electrical damage.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly

    Remove the 5 Phillips #00 screws holding down the bottom loudspeaker module.

    Remove the loudspeaker

    Insert a spudger beneath the loudspeaker edge and pry it upward to detach it from the phone frame.

    Disconnect the display cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to snap off the display flex connector and main interconnect cables from the motherboard.

    Heat the front screen

    Apply heat to the front glass using a heat gun for 3 minutes to break down the display adhesive bond.

    Separate the display glass

    Place a suction cup on the lower front screen and insert an opening pick under the display edge once raised.

    Slice perimeter screen adhesive

    Carefully run opening picks around all four display borders to cut through the adhesive under the screen assembly.

    Remove the old display screen

    Thread the screen flex cable through the slot in the frame while gently lifting the screen away from the body.

    Clean the frame perimeter

    Scrape off residual adhesive using tweezers and wipe the metal frame channel with isopropyl alcohol on a micro-fiber cloth.

    Apply new display adhesive

    Peel and position custom pre-cut adhesive tape strips along the perimeter frame where the new screen will seat.

    Mount the replacement screen

    Guide the new display flex cable through the frame opening and press the screen firmly into place around all edges.

    Reconnect flex cables and battery

    Attach the display connector, main ribbon cables, and finally the battery connector back onto their respective sockets.

    Reinstall internal components

    Place the loudspeaker and wireless coil cover back onto the frame, securing them with all previously removed Phillips screws.

    Reattach the rear glass

    Apply new back glass adhesive strips, align the rear panel onto the phone, and press firmly around the edges to seal.
