   Eject the SIM Tray and S Pen

   Push a SIM ejector tool into the hole on the bottom frame to release the SIM tray. Press and pull the S Pen out from its slot.

   Heat the Back Glass

   Apply heat evenly across the rear cover for two minutes using a heat gun set to low. This softens the strong perimeter adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower section of the rear glass. Pull up on the ring to create a small gap along the frame edge.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Slide a thin plastic pick into the gap created beneath the back glass. Do not insert the pick deeper than 3 mm to protect internal flex cables.

   Slice Perimeter Adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four sides of the rear cover to cut through the adhesive gasket. Reapply heat if the pick meets resistance.

   Remove Back Cover

   Lift the rear glass off the phone chassis once all adhesive is severed. Place it aside on a soft surface.

   Unscrew Wireless Charging Coil

   Remove the 15 Phillips #000 screws securing the motherboard cover and wireless charging coil array.

   Detach Wireless Charging Assembly

   Unclip the right edge of the wireless charging coil using a spudger. Carefully peel the pad away from the main board housing.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard using a plastic spudger. This cuts power to prevent electrical shorts.

    Remove Lower Speaker Cover

    Unscrew the five Phillips #000 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker housing. Lift the speaker assembly out of the phone frame.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cable

    Use a spudger to detach the main board-to-board flex cable press connectors from the sub-board.

    Disconnect Fingerprint Flex Ribbon

    Locate the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable attached to the sub-board socket. Gently pry the press connector straight up.

    Remove Old Fingerprint Sensor Flex

    Use flat tweezers to peel the original fingerprint sensor cable off the frame housing. Apply a drop of isopropyl alcohol if adhesive is stubborn.

    Install Replacement Fingerprint Sensor

    Align the replacement fingerprint sensor flex cable in the chassis recess. Press down firmly to stick the pre-applied adhesive in place.

    Reconnect Cable Connectors

    Snap the new fingerprint sensor cable onto its sub-board socket, then reconnect the main interconnect flex cable.

    Reconnect Battery and Lower Speaker

    Press the battery cable into its motherboard socket. Reposition the lower speaker housing and secure it with its five screws.

    Reinstall Wireless Charging Assembly

    Align the wireless charging coil over the board and press down. Secure the assembly with the 15 Phillips #000 screws.

    Apply New Back Cover Adhesive

    Clean off old adhesive using isopropyl alcohol, stick a new pre-cut adhesive strip along the edges, and firmly press the back glass down.
