   Power off the device

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then select Power Off on the screen.

   Heat the back glass

   Apply heat to the outer edges of the rear panel using a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Apply suction cup

   Press the suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear glass near the bottom edge.

   Insert opening pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert a plastic opening pick under the edge.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the back glass to slice through the adhesive seal.

   Remove the back cover

   Carefully lift the back glass panel away from the frame and set it aside.

   Unscrew the wireless charging pad

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the wireless charging coil and top shield bracket.

   Remove the wireless charging coil

   Peel up the wireless charging pad gently from the battery and remove the assembly.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up from the motherboard.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker module

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws holding the lower speaker assembly in place.

    Remove the loudspeaker

    Pry up the loudspeaker assembly from the bottom of the frame and lift it out.

    Disconnect the interconnect cable

    Use a spudger to disconnect both ends of the main motherboard-to-sub-board flex cable and remove it.

    Disconnect the display cable

    Disconnect the display flex connector from the lower portion of the motherboard.

    Eject the SIM card tray

    Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the bottom frame and pull out the tray.

    Unscrew the motherboard

    Remove the Phillips #00 screw securing the main motherboard assembly to the chassis.

    Remove the motherboard

    Carefully lift the motherboard out of the upper recess of the phone frame.

    Remove the daughterboard

    Unscrew and lift out the USB-C charging port sub-board from the lower frame.

    Remove the vibration motor

    Apply slight heat to the front glass, then pry the linear vibration motor out of its recess with tweezers.

    Remove the earpiece speaker

    Use fine tweezers to gently pry the earpiece speaker out from the top edge of the frame.

    Transfer components to new screen assembly

    Install the earpiece speaker, vibration motor, boards, and battery into the replacement screen and frame chassis.

    Reassemble internal components

    Reconnect all flex cables, reattach the loudspeaker module, and screw down the wireless charging coil bracket.

    Reseal and attach back cover

    Apply new adhesive strips along the rear frame border, press the back cover into position, and apply firm pressure.
