   Power off the device

   Press and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Heat the rear glass

   Apply a heat gun or heating pad to the back glass perimeter for two minutes to soften the factory adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Press firmly to create a seal and pull upward gently to form a small seam.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin opening pick into the small gap created between the rear glass and the frame.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Slide the pick along the bottom edge of the phone to cut through the adhesive strips.

   Slice the side adhesive

   Carefully move the pick around the corners and along both side edges, keeping the pick shallow to avoid internal components.

   Slice the top adhesive

   Guide the pick across the top edge of the back panel to complete separating the adhesive layer.

   Lift off the rear glass

   Gently lift the back cover straight off the chassis and set it on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the five screws securing the upper protective bracket and wireless charging pad.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly

    Remove the six Phillips #00 screws securing the lower speaker assembly to the frame.

    Remove the wireless charging coil

    Gently peel the wireless charging assembly away from the battery and lift the upper motherboard cover clear.

    Remove the loudspeaker

    Insert a plastic spudger beneath the loudspeaker module and pry it out of the lower frame.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use a plastic spudger to unsnap the battery press connector directly from the motherboard.

    Disconnect the main interconnect cables

    Unplug the display extension cable and the main motherboard-to-daughterboard interconnect cables.

    Apply adhesive remover

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol into the small gaps surrounding the battery cell.

    Wait for adhesive to loosen

    Let the alcohol sit for two minutes to dissolve and weaken the strong battery tape underneath.

    Pry up the battery cell

    Insert a plastic opening card beneath the side edge of the battery and lever it gently upward.

    Remove the old battery

    Lift the old battery out of the chassis well and safely set it aside for proper recycling.

    Clean the battery compartment

    Wipe away remaining adhesive residue inside the battery well using a microfiber cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Install new battery adhesive

    Peel the backing from the replacement adhesive strips and lay them smoothly into the empty battery compartment.

    Seat the replacement battery

    Align the new battery with the frame and press down firmly to secure it to the adhesive layer.

    Reconnect flex cables

    Snap the main interconnect flex cables and the battery connector firmly back into their motherboard sockets.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker

    Place the loudspeaker module into the lower frame and tighten its six Phillips #00 screws.

    Reinstall the upper cover and wireless coil

    Position the motherboard cover and wireless coil correctly, then replace and tighten the five Phillips #00 screws.

    Reseal the back glass

    Apply new perimeter adhesive to the frame, press the rear glass firmly into place, and hold light pressure for 30 seconds.
