   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Side key and Volume Down button, then tap Power Off. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before starting.

   Heat the back glass

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer set to low heat along the perimeter of the back glass for two minutes. This softens the strong frame adhesive beneath.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower portion of the back cover just above the USB-C port.

   Insert an opening pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then slide a plastic opening pick beneath the back glass.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick horizontally across the bottom edge to slice through the adhesive layer.

   Slice the side adhesive

   Guide the pick around the bottom corner and move along the side edge of the frame. Reheat the glass if you feel heavy resistance.

   Slice around the camera bump

   Carefully slide the pick near the top camera assembly corner, keeping the tool shallow to avoid damaging internal flex cables.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear panel completely off the chassis and lay it aside on your clean workspace mat.

    Insert a flat plastic spudger beneath the battery bottom edge and carefully lever it upwards to break the adhesive bond.

    Remove the old battery

    Lift the old battery out of the frame cavity. Handle carefully to avoid bending or puncturing the pouch.

    Wipe the battery recess clean of leftover adhesive using a cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Place replacement battery adhesive strips into the chassis recess and peel off the protective backing film.

    Press the replacement battery firmly into place within the frame recess to set the adhesive.

    Reattach the display flex cable, main interconnect cable, and battery connector to their respective board sockets.
