   Power off device and eject SIM tray

   Ensure your phone is completely turned off. Insert a SIM eject pin into the hole on the bottom left of the phone to remove the SIM tray.

   Heat the rear glass perimeter

   Apply heat evenly around the edges of the back cover using a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the waterproof adhesive holding the glass.

   Attach suction cup to back panel

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass. Pull up firmly to create a small gap between the glass and the frame.

   Slice lower edge adhesive seam

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick back and forth along the bottom edge to cut the adhesive.

   Slice side and top adhesive seams

   Work the opening pick along the left, right, and top edges of the phone. Be careful around the camera housing to prevent cracking the glass.

   Remove the rear glass panel

   Lift the rear glass off the frame completely once all adhesive is severed. Set the glass aside on a soft, clean surface.

   Unscrew the wireless charging bracket

   Remove the six Phillips #000 screws securing the wireless charging coil and NFC shield to the chassis.

   Remove the wireless charging assembly

   Use tweezers or a spudger to unhook the edges of the wireless charging pad, then lift the entire assembly out of the device.

   Disconnect the battery flex cable

   Use the flat edge of a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from the motherboard to cut power.

    Unscrew the lower loudspeaker housing

    Remove the five Phillips #000 screws holding the loudspeaker module down over the lower sub-board.

    Lift out the loudspeaker assembly

    Pry up the edge of the loudspeaker using a spudger and remove it from the bottom of the frame.

    Disconnect the daughterboard flex cables

    Pry up the display and main interconnect flex cable connectors attached to the lower sub-board with a spudger.

    Unscrew the sub-board assembly

    Remove the single Phillips #000 screw securing the daughterboard to the lower section of the phone frame.

    Remove the primary microphone sub-board

    Gently insert a plastic spudger beneath the daughterboard and pry it up. This board contains the primary microphone and USB-C port.

    Install the replacement microphone sub-board

    Align the new sub-board into the lower housing slot and press down gently until it sits flat and flush.
