   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the USB-C port on the bottom edge. Push firmly until the tray pops out and slide it out completely.

   Heat the rear glass

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer set to low heat along the outer edges of the back glass for about two minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear glass near the charging port and press down to seal it.

   Insert an opening pick

   Pull up firmly on the suction cup to create a thin gap between the back glass and the frame, then slide a plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick back and forth along the bottom edge of the phone to cut through the factory adhesive sealant.

   Slice the side adhesives

   Carefully guide the pick along the left and right sides of the rear panel to cut through the perimeter tape.

   Remove the back glass

   Lift the rear glass panel straight off the phone body and place it on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the wireless charging coil

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 15 screws securing the wireless charging coil and top plastic bracket.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Gently pry the battery connector press fit header straight up from the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

    Remove the wireless charging pad

    Pry up the edges of the wireless charging pad and carefully unpeel it from the internal chassis.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker module

    Remove the five Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

    Remove the loudspeaker

    Insert a spudger under the upper ridge of the loudspeaker enclosure and pry it up and out of the phone.

    Disconnect the interconnect flex cables

    Use the flat end of a spudger to disconnect both the main ribbon cable and display flex cable from the daughterboard.

    Unscrew the daughterboard

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw holding the charging port daughterboard down to the bottom housing.

    Remove the faulty charging port board

    Slide a thin plastic pry tool underneath the daughterboard and lift it out of the lower chassis.

    Insert the new charging port board

    Position the new USB-C daughterboard into the lower housing frame, aligning the USB port into the cutout.

    Secure the daughterboard screw

    Drive the single Phillips #00 screw into the daughterboard to secure it to the frame.

    Reconnect the interconnect flex cables

    Align and press down on the main flex cable and display cable connectors until they click firmly onto the new board.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker

    Fit the loudspeaker housing back over the daughterboard area and tighten the five Phillips #00 screws.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Align the battery press connector over its motherboard socket and press down firmly to re-establish power connection.

    Reinstall the wireless charging assembly

    Lay the wireless charging coil back in place and replace the 15 Phillips #00 screws across the top bracket.

    Apply new back cover adhesive

    Remove old adhesive remnants with isopropyl alcohol, then stick down a new pre-cut adhesive gasket onto the outer perimeter frame.

    Reattach the rear glass

    Align the rear cover onto the chassis and press firmly around all edges to bond the glass securely.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Push the SIM card tray back into its slot on the bottom frame until it sits flush.
