   Power off device and remove SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the bottom frame and pull out the SIM card tray. Ensure the phone is completely powered off before continuing.

   Heat bottom edge of back glass

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the bottom edge of the back glass for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach suction cup to lower glass

   Press a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear glass plate, placing it near the bottom edge.

   Insert opening pick into bottom seam

   Pull up firmly on the suction cup to create a slight gap, then slide an opening pick under the glass seam.

   Slice perimeter adhesive with picks

   Slide additional opening picks along all four edges of the back glass to slice through the adhesive seal completely.

   Lift and remove back glass cover

   Carefully lift the back glass cover off the frame and set it on a clean surface.

   Remove top bracket screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper motherboard shield and wireless charging assembly.

   Disconnect wireless charging coil

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the wireless charging press connector straight up off the motherboard.

   Remove wireless charging antenna

   Gently peel the wireless charging pad and attached graphite sheet away from the phone body.

    Disconnect battery connector

    Pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger.

    Unscrew lower speaker module

    Remove the Phillips screws holding the loudspeaker assembly to the lower frame.

    Remove lower speaker assembly

    Pry up and remove the loudspeaker module from the bottom of the device frame.

    Disconnect interconnect flex cables

    Unplug both ends of the main motherboard and display interconnect flex cables, then lift them out.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol around battery

    Apply a few drops of high-purity isopropyl alcohol along the top and bottom edges of the battery compartment to soften the adhesive.

    Pry battery from chassis

    Insert a plastic pry card or spudger under the side of the battery and carefully lever it upward.

    Lift out old battery

    Remove the loosened battery from the frame. Handle it carefully to prevent bending or damaging the cell.

    Clean old adhesive from battery well

    Wipe away remaining adhesive residue from the metal frame using isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Peel the protective backing from new battery adhesive strips and press them firmly into the battery housing.

    Press new battery into place

    Align the replacement battery into the frame and press down evenly across its top surface for 10 seconds.

    Reattach flex cables and sub-components

    Reconnect the flex cables, reinstall the loudspeaker, place the wireless charging coil back in position, and secure all Phillips screws.
